How We Started
We founded The Jewel Box Children’s Theater Company in 2016 because we believe wholeheartedly that every child should have the opportunity to experience artistic expression and communal creativity. In the beginning our small weekend conservatory consisted of a handful of students creating original plays and musicals from the ground up. These weekend classes became the springboard for our community engagement program that now serves over 2,000 students annually.
At JBCT we know that the arts can ignite positive change within ourselves as individuals and within our community as a whole. We are committed to creating accessible, equitable, inclusive and meaningful theater experiences for the children in our community, no matter what!
